  • The Sacred Language of Reiki Symbols: Keys to Healing and Awakening

Reiki Symbols USUI REIKI SYMBOLS - PART ONE The Mystery and Power of Reiki Symbols Reiki symbols are a fascinating and essential part of Reiki practice. They act as keys, allowing practitioners to focus and direct the flow of Reiki energy for specific purposes. Within the Usui Reiki system , there are five primary symbols: three are introduced during Reiki II, and two are revealed in Reiki III. While other symbols exist in different traditions, only these five belong to the original Usui lineage. In contrast, the Shamballa Multi-Dimensional Healing system  contains a vast collection of 352 symbols—showing how expansive symbolic healing can become. Despite their reputation for mystery, Usui Reiki symbols are not as secretive as they may seem. Most are Japanese kanji , meaning they are simply words from the Japanese language. Their names can even be found in a Japanese-English dictionary. The first two symbols, however—the Power symbol and the Mental/Emotional symbol—are thought to carry influences from shamanic traditions or Sanskrit combined with Japanese kanji , a practice sometimes found in Japanese Buddhist sacred texts. The Distant and Master symbols, on the other hand, are entirely Japanese in both name and form. One of the most profound insights comes from the Usui Master symbol , whose name appears in The Encyclopedia of Eastern Philosophy and Religion . It translates as “treasure house of the great beaming light” —a Zen expression pointing toward one’s true nature, or Buddha-nature , realized in enlightenment (satori). This definition suggests that the Master symbol may connect us directly to the inner Master, the true source of Reiki itself. Considering its Buddhist roots, it is possible that Dr. Usui was influenced by Zen practices and teachings during his retreat on Mt. Kurama. This also shows that the Reiki symbols did not originate exclusively with Usui—they existed prior to him, likely integrated into Japanese spiritual culture. How the Symbols Work Unlike ordinary symbols, which primarily affect the subconscious mind, Reiki symbols act as transcendental tools . They shift the way Reiki energy itself functions—beyond personal states of mind. Practitioners may activate them by drawing them with the hand, visualizing them, speaking their names, or even tracing them with the tongue on the roof of the mouth. Ultimately, it is intention  that brings them to life, and with practice, they can be activated through awareness alone. The true empowerment of the symbols comes through the Reiki attunement process . During attunement, the energy of each symbol is imprinted within the student’s consciousness. From then on, whenever the practitioner uses the symbol, the corresponding energy flows effortlessly. This sacred linking bypasses the normal repetition needed in stimulus-response learning and happens immediately—through grace. Variations and Lineages Over time, differences in how symbols are drawn have naturally arisen. For instance, Mrs. Hawayo Takata—the Reiki Master who introduced Reiki to the West—sometimes drew the symbols differently for different students. After her passing, Reiki Masters compared their versions and discovered slight variations, especially with the Mental/Emotional and Distant symbols. Even the Master symbol appeared in two styles: the flowing “running hand” and the block-like “normal” form. Because students were once instructed to memorize the symbols rather than copy them, further variations appeared as symbols were passed down by memory. Yet, despite these changes, the essence of the symbols remains intact. The power does not come from perfectly replicating the shape —it comes from the energetic link established during attunement . Thus, the symbols given by your Reiki Master are the right ones for you, even if they differ from others you may see. A Gift of Grace Reiki symbols are more than sacred drawings—they are doorways to higher consciousness and healing energy . They work not because of years of meditation or spiritual mastery, but because they are empowered through grace. Each time we use them, we are reminded of the gift passed down through Dr. Usui and generations of practitioners who lovingly carried this system forward. In their simplicity and depth, Reiki symbols invite us into connection with the universal life force and with the Master within. They are truly treasures of light , guiding us back to our essence and reminding us that healing is a gift of the Creator. Reiki Symbols The Sacred Journey of Reiki Symbols In the early days of Reiki, the symbols were guarded like treasures of light. Students were not permitted to carry them on paper; they were to live only within memory, etched into the heart rather than the page. Yet memory fades, and with it the clarity of the sacred forms. What was meant to preserve their sanctity too often let their shapes dissolve into forgetfulness. The time for secrecy has shifted. We live in a world where knowledge longs to be shared, where healing seeks open hands rather than hidden scrolls. To withhold the symbols from the page is to risk losing them altogether. By allowing them to be studied, honored, and practiced, we breathe life into them once more. It is said that there are many faces of the same symbol , and all are true. Even Mrs. Takata, the great bridge of Reiki to the West, drew them in many different ways, and each variation flowed with power. The essence lies not in flawless lines but in the attunement of the heart and the purity of intention . The first symbols I share are those gifted to me through my lineage. These carry the living breath of my Master. Later, we will explore other variations, other pathways carved by those who came before. Like rivers flowing into the same sea, each version carries the current of Reiki’s wisdom. Ancient whispers tell us that the original system once held over three hundred symbols, with twenty-two in daily practice. Today, we work with only five—yet these five shine like beacons, enough to awaken and guide. Still, I hold knowledge of others that have drifted through time’s tapestry, carried quietly from hand to hand. Some say they are not Reiki at all—but who among us can say with certainty? Much of the old knowledge lies scattered, hidden in places beyond our reach. It is said that in the far mountains of Tibet, in monasteries veiled by distance and silence, many of the ancient symbols still reside. But the gates remain closed, and the treasures are guarded by time and circumstance. For now, we walk with what we have—five radiant jewels of the Usui tradition. And as we journey deeper into the Reiki II symbols, I will also place before you some of the others that have crossed my path. May they speak to you as they have spoken to me— doorways into the unseen, threads of light connecting us to the boundless source of healing. Working With Symbols The Symbols as Gateways to the Guides In my own journey, I have discovered that the Reiki II symbols act as keys , not only for energy, but also for connection. When we begin to work with them, something remarkable happens—the presence of the Reiki Guides  draws closer. From the very first attunement in Reiki I, a Guide is assigned to walk beside us, often quietly, often unseen. Yet with the use of the symbols, their nearness becomes tangible, their presence felt like a whisper in the soul. At this stage, you may even notice their voices—gentle impressions, inner words, or subtle currents of knowing that guide your hands and heart. To enter into dialogue with the Guides is to step into a new dimension of healing , where Reiki becomes not only energy flowing through you, but a living conversation with the unseen. The symbols themselves act as amplifiers, turning the current of Reiki from a soft glow into a radiant beam. It is as though you move from fifty watts of light to five hundred—your channel widened, your energy magnified, your healing deepened. When the Master Attunement is received, the transformation is even greater. The current shifts from alternating to direct, from ebbing and flowing to a steady, unwavering stream. This is the light of the Master within—constant, powerful, and true. Cho Ku Rei The Spiral of the Symbol This sacred symbol resonates upon the seventh level of vibration , a frequency both subtle and profound. In some traditions it is drawn counter-clockwise , while in others, clockwise. From the guidance I have received through the Ascended Masters, both directions are valid—each carrying its own purpose and medicine. When drawn counter-clockwise  over areas of imbalance—such as tumors, blockages, or inflamed tissues—the spiral acts as a release, drawing energy outward, loosening what is stagnant, and carrying it away. In contrast, when the spiral is drawn clockwise , the movement invites energy inward, nourishing, building, and restoring. At times, you may feel called to use both together—one clockwise, one counter-clockwise. This dual motion is a powerful practice for manifestation , weaving together release and reception, emptiness and fulfillment, the letting go of what no longer serves and the calling in of what is truly needed. It is also worth remembering that energy flows differently across the hemispheres of our Earth. In the Northern Hemisphere , natural vortices often spin clockwise; in the Southern Hemisphere , they spiral in the opposite direction—just as water circles the drain in differing ways across the equator. Reiki, too, is attuned to the great rhythms of the Earth, and as you practice, you may feel these subtle shifts. Therefore, let your inner guidance and the wisdom of the Guides  show you the direction in each moment. Trust that the spiral knows the way, whether it is drawing out or drawing in, whether it flows with the northern sun or the southern stars. Increase Power How to Use This Symbol This symbol is deeply connected to the spirals of DNA , the sacred blueprint of life itself. Within our DNA lie the light codes —the divine instructions that shape not only the body, but also the unfolding of consciousness. At this stage of human evolution, most carry only two active strands  of DNA, though within us rests the potential for twelve. To awaken these twelve strands is to step into the fullness of our being, to remember the wholeness of who we truly are. This symbol is a key, a catalyst for that awakening. It should be drawn at the beginning of every treatment , placed gently upon the Head , the gateway where higher light enters the body. Each time your hands leave contact with the body, call the symbol again, weaving its spiral into the energy field, reconnecting the circuit of light. In time, another symbol will be given—one that further assists in the activation of DNA —but for now, this spiral opens the pathway, preparing the body and spirit to receive the higher codes of consciousness. Use it with reverence. Use it with intention. And as you do, know that you are not only offering healing, but also awakening the hidden light within . When to Use Cho Ku Rei The Cho Ku Rei , often called the Power Symbol , is a spiral key that can be placed anywhere energy is needed. Its presence magnifies and strengthens the flow of Reiki, like a lamp turned brighter to illuminate what lies in shadow. You may call upon Cho Ku Rei in countless ways, for it is a versatile ally: Blessing nourishment  – Draw it over food and drink, charging them with life-force and purity. Surrounding loved ones  – Place it over friends, family, and even pets, wrapping them in a field of safety and light. Protecting spaces  – Use it to bless your home, your workplace, or any environment, filling it with harmony. Guiding the journey  – Call it in times of travel, for traffic, accidents, or delays, to invite calm and safe passage. Balancing technology  – Trace it over electrical appliances or devices, harmonizing their flow and easing disruptions. Infusing communications  – Place it on letters, emails, or messages, ensuring words carry clarity and kindness. Nurturing the earth  – Draw it in your garden, upon the soil or seeds, to awaken fertility and growth. Opening inner vision  – Use it gently at the Third Eye , to clear perception and strengthen intuition. Supporting healing  – Apply it for minor health needs, enhancing the body’s natural balance. Amplifying tools of light  – Charge crystals, remedies, or sacred objects, multiplying their healing radiance. Cho Ku Rei is both shield and amplifier. It gathers Reiki into a concentrated beam and directs it with purpose. Whether in daily life or deep healing, let it be the symbol you return to often—a faithful companion, always ready to empower your intention Earth Healing Application Cho Ku Rei may also be used in activating vortices of energy, in stone circles or on ley lines etc. Sei He Ki – The Key of Harmony Sei He Ki  is the sacred symbol of balance, the one that heals the mind and emotions . Its name is often understood as “I have the key”  or “greatest peace.”  It is a key to the subconscious mind , a gentle guardian that helps unlock old patterns, dissolve disharmony, and restore inner stillness. Where Cho Ku Rei magnifies energy, Sei He Ki aligns it —bringing thought, feeling, and spirit back into harmony. It is the embrace of peace after the storm. How to Use When working with this symbol, place it gently at the solar plexus , the center where emotions and will are held. Intone or trace Sei He Ki  three times, calling peace into the emotional body. Then seal the healing by repeating Cho Ku Rei  three times, anchoring the balance into place. Sei He Ki may also be used whenever emotional wounds surface—whether fear, grief, confusion, or unrest. It works like a key, turning the lock of the subconscious so that light may enter, guiding the heart toward its natural state of peace, clarity, and love . When to Use Sei He Ki The Sei He Ki  symbol is the healer of the heart and mind, a bridge between the conscious and subconscious. It brings light to hidden places, dissolving confusion and restoring harmony. Its touch is subtle yet profound, reaching deep where words cannot. You may call upon Sei He Ki in many ways: For release from addictions  – To loosen the grip of habits and patterns that no longer serve the soul. For the healing of the mind  – To bring balance and clarity in times of mental struggle or disorder. To shift the past  – Invoked when healing old wounds or transforming the energetic imprint of past events. For past life recall  – To open the veil of memory and receive insight from journeys of the soul before this one. For spaces and dwellings  – To cleanse houses of emotional residue, lifting heaviness and restoring peace. For crystals and sacred tools  – To align them with clarity, purifying their subtle energies and deepening their resonance. Sei He Ki is the song of peace  sung into the unseen. It clears the shadows of memory and emotion, guiding both people and places back to their natural state of light. Earth Healing Applications The Sei He Ki  symbol is not only a key for the human heart and mind—it also speaks to the soul of the Earth . When paired with Cho Ku Rei , its healing reach extends far beyond the body, flowing into the land itself. You may call upon these symbols together to: Weave harmony into stone circles  and sacred sites, awakening their ancient memory. Restore balance along ley lines , the Earth’s meridians of light. Offer blessing to the soil, rocks, and rivers , bringing renewal to the places we walk. Stabilize and uplift energy vortices , aligning them with higher frequencies of peace. In this way, Reiki becomes not only personal healing, but also planetary healing . Each symbol traced upon the Earth is a prayer of remembrance, a reminder that the land and all beings are woven into one radiant web of life. Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen – The Bridge of Timeless Healing Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen  is the great connector, the sacred bridge between heaven and earth , between the healer and the one who receives. It is the symbol of absent healing , yet its reach transcends distance and time. With it, Reiki flows freely across the unseen, touching the soul wherever it may be. This symbol ensures that the receiver enters into right consciousness , aligning energy with the nervous system and chakras , so that healing may be received in wholeness. Its essence arises from pure thought , the clarity of intention, and the recognition of the divine spark within all beings. One interpretation of its meaning is: “The Christ in me acknowledges the Christ in you.” It is the greeting of soul to soul, the bow of spirit to spirit, beyond separation. In the Buddhist tradition, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen  is also known as a chant for releasing karmic debt . When invoked, it works not only with physical and emotional healing, but also with the karmic threads  that bind us across lifetimes. It invites freedom, reconciliation, and the gentle unraveling of what no longer serves, allowing the light of compassion to shine through. To use this symbol is to step into the great river of time, where past, present, and future merge into one eternal moment of healing How to Use Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen When preparing to send distant healing , begin by first cleansing your own energy. Enter into stillness, allowing your heart to open and your spirit to align. Call the person gently into your awareness—through a photo, a letter, a record card, or simply by holding their image within your inner vision. Settle into a meditative state, and affirm with clarity: “I see you whole. I see you well. I see you in light.” Then trace the sacred sequence: Cho Ku Rei  three times, to empower the flow. Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen  three times, to bridge the distance and connect soul to soul. Sei He Ki  three times, to bring harmony to the mind and emotions. Repeat your affirmation of wholeness, seeing the healing already complete. Finally, seal the treatment  with Cho Ku Rei three times and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen three times, anchoring the energy across all time and space. Release the person into the care of the universe, and cleanse yourself once more, so that the healing rests pure and complete. Always remember: when sending Reiki across distance, honor the sacredness of permission . Healing is most powerful when invited and received. When possible, arrange a time together, so that the recipient may enter a quiet, receptive state. In this way, they too become an active participant in their healing, opening their heart to the gift of Reiki. The Antahkarana – Bridge of Light to the Higher Self The Antahkarana  is more than a symbol—it is a strand of light woven into the very fabric of our spiritual anatomy. In the teachings of Tibetan philosophy, it is described as the connection between the physical brain and the Higher Self . This luminous bridge must heal and develop if we are to awaken into the fullness of spiritual growth. To sit in the presence of the Antahkarana is to activate this bridge, to strengthen the link between the human and the divine. Across traditions, the power of sacred geometry has long been known. Radionics  teaches that even lines drawn upon paper radiate a subtle psychic force, altering the aura and harmonizing the chakras. This affirms the ancient practice of yantra meditation , where sacred patterns are gazed upon to purify consciousness and awaken higher states of being. The Antahkarana is an ancient healing and meditation symbol , used in Tibet and China for thousands of years. Simply by being near it, the chakras and aura are uplifted. In healing work, it focuses and amplifies the flow of energy; in meditation, it opens the great Taoist microcosmic orbit —a continuous cycle of light moving up the spine, over the crown, and down the front of the body, grounding us into the Earth while uniting us with heaven. Its gifts are many: it neutralizes negative energy stored in objects such as jewelry or crystals, simply by placing them between two symbols; it magnifies the effectiveness of Reiki, Polarity Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Past Life Regression, and other healing arts; it brings clarity, flow, and renewal wherever it is placed. Again and again, clairvoyant perception and direct experience confirm its power. The symbol itself is multi-dimensional . To the eye, it may appear as three sevens arranged upon a flat plane—representing the seven chakras, seven colors, and seven tones of creation. These three sevens echo the seven candlesticks, trumpets, and seals  of Revelation. Yet, from another angle, it unfolds as a cube, revealing dimensions both seen and unseen, rising toward the infinite dimension of the Higher Self. Historically, the Antahkarana was held in secret. Tibetan masters used it in their meditations: seated upon a stool engraved with the symbol, before polished copper walls that reflected sacred images, they entered into deep yantra practice. In this sacred chamber, the Antahkarana focused the energies of the Reiki symbols and drew them evenly through the chakras, connecting heaven and earth. But the roots of the Antahkarana reach even further back. Through clairvoyant vision, it is said that this symbol was first gifted in the days of Lemuria, over 100,000 years ago . A council of Ascended Masters, watching over the evolution of this world, saw humanity’s need to reconnect with its Higher Self. They created the Antahkarana, imbued it with consciousness through a sacred decree, and placed it into the human stream of evolution. Ever since, the symbol has carried a living intelligence—guiding, healing, and awakening all who turn to it. It is a gift that can only be used for good, for its power is governed by the Higher Self itself. For millennia it remained hidden, passed down to a few initiates in silence. But now, the time has come for it to be known and used once more. The Antahkarana rises again in our world, not as an ornament or curiosity, but as a living key of light , a bridge of remembrance, restoring the ancient bond between the human soul and the eternal Self. Directions for Use The Antahkarana  is no ordinary symbol—it is alive with its own consciousness of light . Guided by the wisdom of the Higher Self , it responds to the needs of the moment, shaping its healing influence uniquely for each soul. Because it is governed by the Higher Self, it can never be misused, nor can it ever cause harm. Its work is always pure, always aligned with what is for the highest good. To invite its healing presence, the Antahkarana may be used in many ways: Place it beneath a massage table or chair , allowing its energy to flow upward, bathing the body in light during healing work. Rest it against the body , with the image facing the place in need of renewal, and let its vibration move directly into the cells and chakras. Hang it upon a wall or sacred space , where its radiance will fill the room, uplifting all who enter. However it is used, the Antahkarana silently attunes itself to your essence. It listens. It responds. It heals according to what you are ready to receive—whether that be grounding, clearing, balancing, or awakening. Simply being in its presence is an act of communion with the Higher Self, a reminder that you are never separate from the light. The Antahkarana – Gift of the Masters The Antahkarana  is said to be among the most ancient of sacred symbols, given to Earth in the time of Lemuria , more than 100,000 years ago. It was created by a council of Ascended Masters , guardians of the galaxy’s evolution, who saw that humanity was in need of help—drifting, losing its bond with the Higher Self. To restore this connection, they fashioned the Antahkarana, and through a holy decree, imbued it with a living consciousness of its own. Thus, whenever this symbol is used, the link between the physical brain and the Higher Self is strengthened . Its wisdom flows not from the mind of man but from the Higher Self itself, and for this reason, it can never be used for harm. Its work is always guided by love, always aligned with the highest good. Even in silence, the Antahkarana radiates. To simply be in its presence brings renewal to the aura and chakras . In healing, it deepens and focuses the flow of energy, magnifying the work of the practitioner. In meditation, it awakens the Taoist Great Microcosmic Orbit —a cycle of light that rises from the feet, up the spine to the crown, and descends once more down the front of the body, grounding the spirit into Earth while maintaining a continuous flow through the chakras. The symbol is also a purifier. Objects such as crystals or jewelry, burdened with negative vibrations, may be cleared by placing them between two Antahkarana symbols. In every context, it enhances and amplifies healing , whether through Reiki, meditation, or other sacred arts. The Antahkarana may be used in many ways: Place it beneath a massage or treatment table , or under a chair, so the body rests within its radiance. Hang it upon a wall  to bathe a room in its vibration. Hold it against the body , with the symbol facing the place in need of renewal. Create small colored versions  to lay gently upon the chakras during meditation or healing sessions. Trust your intuition— use your imagination . The Antahkarana carries its own consciousness and will adapt to what you need in the moment. It is not limited by technique, for it works in harmony with your Higher Self. And because it flows only from that sacred source, it always blesses, always heals, and can never be misused. Merka Fa Ka Lish Ma – The Mother Energy of DNA Merka Fa Ka Lish Ma  is a sacred vibration of the Mother Energy , a symbol that works directly with the deep codes of DNA . It is especially powerful when used in union with the Antahkarana , for together they restore the ancient patterns of harmony within the body and soul. This symbol heals at the level of the blueprint —returning distortions to the original perfection of the species . Where imbalance has crept into the design, Merka Fa Ka Lish Ma realigns and reweaves the subtle structures, awakening the memory of wholeness that has always been present. Its work is most profound within the middle levels of the chakras , re-balancing and restoring them to their natural rhythm. It acts like a song of remembrance, guiding the energy field back into resonance with the true divine pattern . When used with the Antahkarana , place the Antahkarana above the DNA, and let Merka Fa Ka Lish Ma sing its light into the strands. Together, they awaken the original codes of life and open the way for deeper alignment with the Higher Self. This is not just healing—it is remembering , calling the being back into harmony with the Mother’s design, the eternal pattern of life itself. The Palm Master Symbol The Palm Master Symbol , as described by the Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul , is a sacred design that maps the pathway of divine alignment through the body. It is not merely drawn—it is embodied , tracing the flow of light from the crown to the Earth, uniting heaven and matter, spirit and form. Its movements reflect five sacred stages: The Crown Chakra  – opening like a lotus, ready to receive the descent of higher light. The Inner Union  – the bridge formed between the pituitary gland  and the pineal body , awakening the third eye and higher vision. The Throat Chakra  – the center of expression, where divine truth begins to give itself voice. The Descent Through the Chakras  – the current flows downward, anchoring through each energy center until it reaches the Earth itself . The Great Unity  – the merging of Mother and Father Source  with the radiant I AM Presence , the eternal self that shines within. The Palm Master Symbol is a reminder that the human body is the temple of light , a bridge between heaven and earth. To trace it is to awaken this pathway within oneself—crown to root, Source to Presence, heaven to earth—flowing as one radiant stream. The Tibetan Fire Serpent The Tibetan Fire Serpent  is a symbol of immense power, a coiling current of light that awakens and enlivens each chakra  it touches. Its presence stirs the inner flame, grounding the body, balancing the energy field, and restoring vitality wherever it flows. To work with this symbol, there is no need for effortful memorization. Once you open to it, the Fire Serpent will come of its own accord, rising in your awareness when it is needed. It is especially helpful when: The whole chakra system  seeks grounding and harmony. An individual chakra  requires clearing, awakening, or balance. Your energy feels depleted or heavy , in need of renewal. You are called to heal yourself as well as others. Trust your inner guidance—you will know when and where to call the Serpent. Simply link into yourself, and the answer will reveal itself. You do not even need to physically draw the symbol. The power of thought and intention  is enough. In time, as your own power deepens, the very thought of the Fire Serpent will carry the same strength as its physical form. When invoked, it clears patterns, dissolves stagnant energy, and restores the natural spiral of life force. On yourself or others, the Fire Serpent is both a healer and awakener, reminding you that within you already burns the eternal flame. Further Uses of the Symbols Now that we have walked through what may be called the basics , we can begin to expand into the deeper ways of working with the symbols—their many uses, their hidden power, and the ways they weave themselves into healing practice. First, it is essential to learn the symbols well . Practice drawing them on paper, in the mind’s eye, and even upon the roof of your mouth with the tip of your tongue. Let them become part of you, moving through you with ease. If ever you draw a symbol imperfectly in practice, do not trouble yourself by going back to correct it. The Reiki Guides  will gently adjust your work. But do not let this be an excuse for carelessness. Effort is a sacred offering, and in spiritual life, effort is always rewarded, even when the form is not perfect. Purity of heart and clarity of intention  are what open the way. Flower Remedies and Homeopathic Medicines The symbols may be called upon to clear and empower remedies . Hold the bottle between your hands and: Use Sei He Ki  three times to clear the prescription of unwanted vibrations. Use Cho Ku Rei  three times to amplify its healing power. Seal the work with Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen  three times. In this way, the remedy is aligned with light and freed from the many imprints it may have gathered in the process of production and handling. This simple practice strengthens the medicine and lessens the chance of healing crises. Crystals and Gemstones Crystals, too, may be cleansed, blessed, and programmed with the symbols. Hold the crystal in your hands and: Clear it with Sei He Ki , repeating three times or as guided. Affirm three times that the crystal is now aligned with the Mother/Father’s seed blueprint for Creation . Affirm three times that the crystal is self-cleansing . Empower it with Cho Ku Rei  three times. Seal the work with Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen  three times. Crystals can hold many programs at once, so you may experiment with different intentions and uses. For deeper healing, crystals may be arranged into layouts shaped like the Reiki symbols  themselves. For example, create the spiral of Cho Ku Rei  with crystals around a person lying on the floor. This magnifies the power of the symbol many times over, activating the light codes of DNA  and awakening the twelve strands to their divine potential. Such work is powerful and must always be approached with reverence. Always gain permission, work with love, and call upon guidance. The body itself is crystalline—composed of salts, minerals, trace metals, and water, all of which resonate like liquid crystal. In this way, the symbols and crystals together encode the body’s structures with divine light . The Antahkarana  may also be used here. Place its image beneath or above the body, especially under the head or upon the heart. Photocopy as many as you need, and trust your guidance as to where they should rest. Through these practices, the symbols, crystals, and the Antahkarana become a living web of light—awakening the body, clearing the mind, and anchoring the soul ever more deeply into its divine blueprint. Mer Ka Fa Ka Lish Ma – Mother Energy & House Clearing The vibration of Mer Ka Fa Ka Lish Ma , the Mother Energy of DNA, may also be called upon to cleanse and restore homes and sacred spaces . Every dwelling gathers energy over time—thoughts, emotions, echoes of events, and sometimes even the presence of spirits who have not yet moved into the Light. With compassion, intention, and the symbols, these energies may be released, returning harmony to the home. Begin by entering the house with an open heart and clear mind . Call upon the protection of Archangel Michael , affirming: “Archangel Michael, please place me within a pillar of light and protection during this work.” Know that you are safe. There is truly nothing to fear but fear itself. Ghosts or disincarnate beings cannot harm you. In most cases, you will simply be clearing stagnant energy, heavy vibrations left behind by years of human living. If a spirit should appear, meet them not with fear, but with love and compassion . Many do not even realize they have passed. Speak gently, letting them know that their time in this place is finished, and that the Light now calls them home. If they resist or fear what lies ahead, invite Archangel Michael  and Mother Mary  to guide them lovingly into the higher realms. The Ritual of Clearing Purify the space  – Burn incense, sage, or sandalwood in every room, letting the smoke carry away lingering energies. Seal with symbols  – Visualize or draw Sei He Ki  throughout the rooms, paying attention to the corners where energy often collects. At this stage, you may sense movements, sounds, or even communication. Stay calm, present, and loving. Bless and empower  – Once the energies have lifted and the house feels lighter, trace Cho Ku Rei  throughout the home—over windows, doors, walls, and even the garden—infusing the space with love, truth, beauty, and harmony. Release karmic ties  – If the presence feels bound by karmic threads, use Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen  to dissolve the ties and guide them beyond time and space. Give thanks  – Offer a prayer of gratitude to your guides, the Archangels, and all who have assisted. Close with the affirmation: “Think Light, Be Bright.” When performed with sincerity, this sacred work transforms the home into a sanctuary of peace. The Mother Energy of Mer Ka Fa Ka Lish Ma  realigns the blueprint of the space, restoring it to its original purity, so that all who dwell there may thrive in light and harmony. More on the 352 Symbols of Shamballa Greetings, beloved friends of Shamballa. It is time we speak of the true essence of the Shamballa symbols , and of symbols in general. You know that spoken language is made of sounds—words that carry meaning, words that call forth images, memories, and feelings. Yet at their root, words are simply energy describing energy , for all of existence, within and without, is energy. When you hear a word, your awareness responds, and an inner state is awakened. So it is with the symbols of Shamballa . Each is a visual or spoken representation of a specific state of energy . The drawing of the symbol, or even the sounding of its name, serves as a reminder—a gentle key that unlocks the qualities already within you. The symbol itself does not “contain” the power. Rather, it awakens the power that has always been yours. Many have come to treat symbols as treasures to be gathered, as though their magic were outside of the self. This is but another form of seeking—the endless quest for something external to make life whole. Yet the symbols are not possessions. They are mirrors, reflections that whisper: “Remember who you are. Remember what you carry. Remember your Mastery.” When you use a symbol, whether in healing, meditation, or self-practice, you are calling forth from your own being the very quality it represents. Just as a string tied around the finger serves as a reminder, so too the symbol says: Awaken. You are this energy. You are this love. You are this light. In the realm of duality, we are taught that power lies outside us—that more symbols mean more mastery. Thus, the desire arises to know all 352 symbols of Shamballa , each with its function, each with its purpose. Yet we remind you: these are but doorways into what already dwells within you. Whether you call upon them or not, the energies they represent are already present, flowing through your being, for you are the embodiment of Shamballa itself. Still, calling upon the symbol can be useful. Sometimes the mind needs a tool, a focus , a way to anchor awareness. To name or visualize the symbol is to make contact with that state of energy consciously, to invite it forward into experience. There is no harm in this. In fact, it deepens recognition and helps weave the energies more fully into daily life. But never forget: the purpose of Shamballa is not to collect symbols, but to claim your Mastery —the Divine Love and Power that you are. Each symbol represents a facet of this Mastery. Each is a reminder that you are already whole. When you recognize the truth of this, you cease searching outside and instead awaken the Holy Grail within . Teaching Shamballa Reiki with symbols has both gifts and challenges. The gift is that symbols provide simple ways for people to feel and recognize energies they may not otherwise access. With repetition, these energies are woven into the fabric of self-awareness. The challenge is that one may become lost in the forms, gazing at the trees while forgetting the forest—mistaking the symbol for the power, rather than the self as the source. Therefore, remember: the symbols are tools, not treasures. They are reminders, not masters.  They exist to help you realize what you already are, to anchor the truth that you are Shamballa itself. And so we thank you for listening, and for allowing us to remind you of the true purpose of the symbols: your Self-Realization.

  • Reiki and Emotional Wellness: Healing the Heart, Calming the Mind

Life has a way of stirring our emotions—joy, sorrow, anxiety, hope. At times, the heart feels heavy, and the mind grows restless. In these moments, Reiki can become a gentle sanctuary, a sacred space where emotional balance is restored and the spirit finds ease. The Subtle Connection Between Energy and Emotion Our emotions are not separate from our energy; they are  energy. Joy uplifts, grief contracts, fear scatters. Ancient wisdom teaches that when this flow becomes blocked or tangled, we feel emotional unrest. Reiki works like a river’s current, dissolving these knots and helping our inner waters flow smoothly once more. Reflective Questions for the Heart Before practicing Reiki, take a moment with these gentle reflections: What emotions feel heavy on my heart right now? Where in my body do I sense this emotion resting? If this feeling had a colour or shape, what would it be? What might my heart need in this moment—comfort, courage, release? You don’t need to “fix” the answers. Simply notice what arises with compassion. Guided Self-Reiki Practice for Emotional Release Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Sit comfortably or lie down. Take a few slow breaths, softening your shoulders and jaw. Set Your Intention Whisper inwardly: “I invite Reiki to flow through me, bringing balance and release to my emotions.” Hand on the Heart Place one hand over your heart, the other on your abdomen. Feel the rise and fall of your breath. Imagine Reiki energy as a soft golden light filling your chest with warmth and safety. Release Through the Breath As you inhale, imagine breathing in peace. As you exhale, visualize releasing heaviness, tension, or sadness—letting it dissolve into light. Soothing the Mind Move your hands gently to rest on either side of your temples. Allow Reiki to quiet racing thoughts, like a calm breeze settling restless waves. Grounding the Energy Finally, place your hands on your thighs or just above your knees. Picture roots extending from you into the earth, carrying away what no longer serves you, leaving you steady and supported. Closing the Practice Bring your palms together at your heart in gratitude—thank yourself for showing up, and thank the energy for its healing flow. Returning to Balance Notice how you feel. Your emotions may still be present, but lighter, more spacious, more held. Reiki does not erase feelings—it creates a safe vessel for them to transform, guiding you gently back to balance. ✨ When practiced regularly, self-Reiki becomes a beautiful companion for emotional wellness, helping you move through life’s tides with greater peace and compassion.

  • CHAKRAS

The concept of chakras originated in India and although Mikao Usui (who discovered Reiki in Japan) did not base his Reiki practice on the system, they work well together. Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel’ and is an apt name for these spinning vortexes of energy. They are located within our etheric body and are centres of force through which we receive, transmit and process life energies The form of energy drawn in by a single chakra depends on the chakra in question. There are literally hundreds of chakras, most of which are referred to as ‘minor chakras’. In Reiki however, there are seven main chakras and two pairs of minor ones. These chakras are the Crown, Brow (Third Eye), Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral and Base Chakras and the Palm and Foot chakras The chakras form a network through which body, mind and spirit interact as a complete holistic system. The major chakras correspond to specific aspects of our consciousness and have their own individual functions and characteristics. Each chakra has a corresponding relationship with one of the glands comprising the body’s endocrine system, as well as being associated with a specific colour. Indeed there are a whole range of associations related to each chakra, many of which will be covered in this course. When all the chakras are ‘whirling’, open, bright and clean, then our chakra system is balanced. However, if a chakra becomes blocked, damaged or muddied with residual energy, then our physical and emotional health can be affected Interestingly, this often occurs habitually as the result of negative or incomplete belief systems. In other words, the effects of our habits, feelings, beliefs, thoughts, fears and desires can be found in our chakras By realizing that the energy created from our emotions and mental attitudes runs through the chakras and is then distributed to the cells, tissues and organs of the body, we gain an insight into how we affect our own bodies, minds and circumstances When chakras are open, balanced and free of blockages, the more energy can flow through our system and this energy is essential for our vitality, health and continued growth on all levels The following tables list the main characteristics/traits that can be seen in people when each chakra is ‘open’ or spinning in a balanced manner, or ‘closed’, spinning in a sluggishly, spinning too fast, rotating the wrong way etc. Chakras are closed: Base – Emotionally needy, low self-esteem, self-destructive behaviour, fearful. Sacral – Oversensitive, hard on oneself, feels guilty for no reason, frigid or impotent. Solar Plexus – Overly concerned with what others think, fearful of being alone, insecure, needs constant reassurance. Heart – Fears rejection, loves too much, feels unworthy to receive love, self-pitying. Throat – Holds back from self-expression, unreliable, holds inconsistent views. Third Eye – Undisciplined, fears success, tendency towards schizophrenia, sets sights too low. Crown – Constantly exhausted, can’t make decisions, no sense of ‘belonging’ Chakras open and balanced: Base – Demonstrates self-mastery, high physical energy, grounded, healthy. Sacral – Trusting, expressive, attuned to one’s own feelings, creative. Solar Plexus – Respects self and others, has personal power, spontaneous, uninhibited. Heart – Compassionate, loves unconditionally, nurturing, desires spiritual experience in lovemaking. Throat – Good communicator, contented, finds it easy to meditate, artistically inspired. Third Eye – Charismatic, highly intuitive, not attached to material things, may experience unusual phenomena. Crown – Magnetic personality, achieves ‘miracles’ in life, transcendent, at peace with self. Chakras spinning too fast: Base – Bullying, overly materialistic, self-centred, engages in physical foolhardiness. Sacral – Emotionally unbalanced, a fantasist, manipulative, sexually addictive. Solar Plexus – Angry, controlling, workaholic, judgmental and superior. Heart – Possessive, loves conditionally, withholds emotionally to ‘punish’, overly dramatic. Throat – Over-talkative, dogmatic, self-righteous, arrogant. Third Eye – Highly logical, dogmatic, authoritarian, arrogant. Crown – Psychotic or manic depressive, confused sexual expression, frustrated, sense of unrealized power Opening the Foot Chakra. In order to open the foot chakra, imagine that this chakra looks like a flower, with four or eight large petals that can flap open and shut on four/eight sides of the energy centre within the sole of the foot. Contract your Hui Yin and use your fingers to brush open each petal several times in turn, as if you were gently brushing aside an insect from someone’s face. Since you are focusing your intent here, the exact hand movements are not vitally important. Once the chakra has been opened in one foot, hold your hand over the sole of the foot and channel energy for about 10 minutes, visualizing the energy travelling higher and higher up the person’s leg. Then open the chakra on the other foot and channel energy for another 10 minutes exactly as before Chakra Element Colour Organ / Gland Purpose Base (Root) Muladhara Earth Red Ovaries / gonads Survival & prosperity. Raises energy. Earths the healer. Good for people who are spaced out or living in their heads. Foundation of the chakra system & home of the Kundalini Sacral Swadhistana Water Orange Bladder / intestines / kidneys / lymphatic / adrenals Physical & sexual health. Release energy. Helps with sexual problems including impotence & loss of sex drive. Personal sacred dwelling place. Emotional & physical feelings Solar Plexus Manipura Fire Yellow Pancreas / stomach / spleen / liver / adrenals Personal power & emotions. Gives feelings of power, confidence & self esteem. Can give some degree of immunity to pain. Puts you in touch with what you are feeling about yourself. Purifies toxicity on all levels within the surface bodies Heart Anahata Air Green Heart / lungs / thymus Love. Feelings for others. Makes you aware of your feeling for others & opens you up to vibrations of love. Centre of our energy system, our true resting place, where the flow of energies from the spirit self & the earth self meet. Throat Vishuddha Ether Blue Upper lungs / thyroid / parathyroid Communication. Improves intellect & powers of communication with others. Develops the rational mind. The bridge between our inner self & outer creation. Third Eye Anja Light Indigo / Purple Medulas oblongata / pituitary Intuition. Develops intuition, psychic abilities & detachment. Opens the identity of the soul. A vehicle for self-reflection & self knowledge to bring the light of wisdom. Crown Sahasrara None Violet / Brilliant White Light Cerebral cortex / pineal Spirituality. Faith. Astral contact with other dimensions. God consciousness. Liberate consciousness by surrendering to our universal identity Chakra Balancing Chakra balancing can be done with the client sitting, standing or lying whatever feels right to you at the time. One method is to start at the Base chakra with a hand in front & the other behind the client’s body. Move slowly up the body stopping to give Reiki wherever you sense it is needed, this may take 2 or 3 minutes at each chakra. Once you have reached the crown chakra smooth out the aura & start at the base chakra again to ensure all chakras are in balance. Working on one chakra can unbalance the others. Repeat process until you are happy that all chakras are in balance. Here is an alternative method for chakra balancing & re-balances the energy in the aura. With client lying down place one hand over the 1st (base) chakra & the other over the 2nd chakra (sacral). Feel for energy imbalance & move on when the energy feels the same in both hands. Next place one hand on the 2nd chakra & the other on the 3rd chakra (solar plexus) & once the energy feel balanced move on. Repeat this process with the 3rd & 4th chakra (Heart), the 4th & 5th chakra (Throat) & so on. Finish the process by placing both hands over the crown & sweep slowly down the body as if brushing snow away. Repeat entire process twice. A similar method to this & the one I tend to use is balancing the 1st (base) & the 6th (crown) chakra at the same time, then the 2nd (sacral) & 5th (throat) chakra & then the 3rd (solar plexus) & 4th (heart) chakra.

  • Shamballa One Reiki Multi Dimensional Healing | Reiki Hippie Wellness Guide

Since the earliest stirrings of humankind, the laying on of hands has been a sacred art whispered through time. We are born with an ancient knowing—an instinct to reach out, to soothe, to mend with touch. A mother’s hands upon her child’s brow are more than comfort; they are conduits of unseen light, weaving tenderness into healing. This current of life-force has worn many names as it traveled through the world’s wisdom traditions: Chi  flowing in the temples of China, Prana  breathing through the mystics of India, Ruach  moving as the sacred wind of the Hebrews, and Reiki  as the gentle, luminous stream of Japan. Each name points to the same eternal essence—an energy of love that pulses through all things, awaiting only our touch to awaken its healing grace. Reiki stands among the most widely recognized paths of healing through the direct channeling of life-force energy. Across the ages, mystics have whispered that the material world is but a veil, woven from a subtler essence—an infinite energy that underlies all form. Modern physics, too, peers into the mystery and finds resonance: the universe is not solid at its core but a dance of energy, endlessly responsive to thought and intention. Mystics and scientists alike converge on this truth—that consciousness shapes reality. With every thought we breathe, with every vision we hold, we ripple through the fabric of existence. In this way, we are not mere witnesses of creation but active participants, co-weaving our world moment by moment through the tapestry of our collective mind. This natural energy is what Reiki practitioners harness. A Reiki healer can access this energy more profoundly due to the attunements they undergo, which help clear blockages in the body's energy channels. These attunements also enhance the healer's own life energy and establish a connection to the source of Reiki, which can be referred to by any name the healer prefers—such as Goddess energy, God, or the First Source. Reiki is not affiliated with any specific religion, so feel free to call it whatever resonates with you. Personally, I refer to this source as “Mother/Father/God.”

  • Grounding with Earth Energy: Reiki Hippie's Wellness Guide

Grounding Exercise When electricians wire houses for electrical energy, they must ground the system, to protect it from improper flow of energy. When we are channeling energy through our bodies, we must also ground for the best results. However, unlike electrical grounding, for us grounding means that we are connected to the earth and energy comes from the ground. How do you ground? There are many different ways to ground, all with the end result of you feeling connected to the earth. You can use earth energy for balancing and healing, like Reiki energy; you can channel earth energy into people, plants, animals, and the planet itself. The more you practice grounding and channeling energy, the easier it will become and the more effective a channel you will become. The following exercise is good for practicing channeling earth energy, both for grounding you and helping to heal our planet. When we channel energy up from the planet, through us, and back into the planet, we are sending the earth a transformed and healing energy, different from what she offers us. 1. Stand firmly with your feet flat on the floor, shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent. 2. Relax and breathe, and be aware of your feet on the floor and your legs holding you up. 3. Be aware of your feet. Imagine that your feet are sinking through the floor into the earth below. Plant your feet in the earth. 4. Imagine that you are a tree, growing roots down into the earth from your feet. Let the roots sink deep into the earth, through the layers of soil and rock, into the hot, vibrant, molten center. Once your roots reach the center of the earth, imagine that you can attach an anchor to them, an anchor that allows you to move freely, but one that keeps you connected to the earth. 5. You may want to re-connect your ground every 45 to 60 seconds. The above exercise will ground you. If you then wish to channel this earth energy continue as follows: 6. Feel your spine and root open to the energy of the earth, and like the roots of a tree; allow the energy of the earth to flow up into your spine effortlessly and easily. You may want to imagine energy flowing into you with each in-breath. 7. Allow the energy to move all the way up your spine, filling your entire body and flowing out the top of your head. 8. Allow the energy to fill your chest and heart, and to move down your arms and out your hands, as if your arms and hands are a hose through which the energy flows. 9. Once you feel the energy flowing up your spine and out your arms and hands, place your hands flat on the floor and channel the energy back into the earth, knowing that this energy is nurturing and healing our planet. 10. You may wish to reconnect to the earth every 15 to 60 seconds to keep the energy flowing. One way to maintain your grounding is to be aware of the bottoms of your feet, particularly of the beginning of the kidney meridian (located just beyond the ball of your foot at the beginning of the arch, in a line from the base of the second toe). DRINK WATER EAT SOMETHING INTEND THAT YOU BE GROUNDED VISUALIZE ROOTS OR A CORD RUNNING TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH FROM YOUR FEET PUT YOUR TONGUE ON THE SOFT PALATE JUST BEHIND YOUR TEETH DRAW THE REIKI POWER SYMBOL ON YOUR FEET, YOUR SACRAL/HARA & THE PALMS OF YOUR HANDS PLACE THE PALMS ON YOUR HARA & CONCENTRATE WITH DEEP BREATHS ON THAT AREA FOR A FEW MINUTES, BRING YOUR AWARENESS INTO YOUR SACRAL AND CALM IS RESTORED Discover the transformative power of grounding with earth energy through Reiki. Learn how to channel healing energy and restore balance with ease.

  • WHAT IS REIKI?

✨ What is Reiki? A Journey into the Living Light ✨ Close your eyes for a moment. Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose… and let it out gently. Imagine warm hands resting lightly on your shoulders—soft, steady, filled with a quiet glow that travels deep into your being. This… is the ancient art we now call Reiki . 🌙 The Whisper of Hands Across Time From the first dawns of humankind, we’ve known—without anyone teaching us—that touch carries magic. A mother’s hand on her child’s fevered brow, a friend clasping your hand in grief… the comfort comes before the words. 💫 Pause & Feel: Place one of your hands on your heart right now. Notice the warmth. Imagine that warmth spreading into every cell, as though your own body is reminding you: I am here. I am whole. Across the globe, this life-force energy is known by many names— Chi  in China, Prana  in India, Ruach  in Hebrew tradition, and Reiki  in Japan. The words differ, but the truth is the same: there is an invisible river of energy flowing through all that exists . 🔮 A Bridge Between the Mystical & the Modern Mystics whisper of a universe woven from unseen threads. Modern science, too, is discovering that everything—every stone, leaf, and thought—is made of energy. And thought itself? It shapes this energy like wind over water. 💫 Reflection Question: If your thoughts could shape the fabric of reality (and they can), what thought would you choose to send out into the universe right now? Reiki is the practice of stepping into this river of life-force and letting it flow through your hands, your heart, your being. 🌊 The Gift of Attunement When you are attuned  to Reiki, something stirs awake inside you. Your body’s energy pathways—once tangled or blocked—begin to open, like a long-closed flower turning to the sun. You are linked to the Source: the Great Mystery, the Divine, the Infinite—call it whatever your heart whispers. 💫 Sensory Moment: Imagine a silver thread of light descending from above your head, flowing gently down your spine. See it pool in your hands. Feel them warm, tingle, or simply grow still. This is your channel. This is your connection. After your Reiki I attunement , your hands know what to do. You don’t push or force—Reiki flows of its own intelligence, finding exactly where it’s needed. 🌀 The Dance of Healing As a Reiki channel, you are not “doing” the healing. You are holding the door open for light to enter. The energy knows its path; your role is to trust and witness. 💫 Self-Check: Think of something in your life that feels heavy or blocked. Now imagine placing that part of yourself gently in your own hands. Breathe. Let Reiki flow—no trying, no controlling—just allowing. Healing in Reiki is not about “fixing” symptoms. It is about returning to your truest, most radiant self . 🌟 The Patterns We Carry From the earliest days of childhood, we collect patterns—beliefs, fears, old wounds—that shape the way we move in the world. Some protect us for a time, but others keep us from shining fully. 💫 Guided Release: Bring to mind a limitation you’ve carried—perhaps a voice telling you “you can’t,” or “you shouldn’t.” Now see it dissolve in a golden stream of light flowing through your palms, leaving only openness and space. Reiki provides the energy for such letting go. But remember: the choice is always yours. 🕊 Beyond the Physical Not every condition is meant to vanish in this lifetime. Sometimes, illness is part of the soul’s deeper journey. And sometimes, the greatest healing comes in the form of peace, acceptance, or even the gentle transition we call death . 💫 Sacred Perspective: If you could see your life as your soul sees it—woven from many lifetimes—how might your challenges look different? 💗 Reiki is Love in Motion Reiki works because it is  love—pure, luminous, unconditional. The original blueprint of life is wholeness, and Reiki is the reminder. You cannot take on another’s dis-ease when you work with the Source and the Reiki guides. In fact, the more you channel Reiki, the more healed you become yourself. 🌺 For All Ages, For All Souls Reiki is for everyone—babies, elders, wanderers, seekers, the curious, and the skeptical. It is a mirror that shows you your own light. When you open to Reiki, you open to the deeper truth of your being. 💫 Final Invitation: Place your hands together in front of your heart. Whisper—silently or aloud— I am ready to remember who I am. Feel the current moving through you. You have just taken your first step. Reiki is not something you “do.” It is something you become . The more you allow, the more it flows. And in the flow, you will discover—you have been whole all along.

  • Reiki Subconscious Key for Healing

Reiki Symbols Sei He Ki FROM SHAMBALLA REIKI This is the symbol that heals the mind and emotions. It means: “I have the key” or “greatest peace.” This is a subconscious key and protects the subconscious mind How to Use This symbol should be used when treating the solar plexus. Repeat Sei He Ki three times then repeat Cho Ku Rei three times to seal. When to Use The general applications for Sei He Ki are: · Addictions · Mental disorders · To change past events · Past life recall · On houses · Crystals Earth Healing Applications This symbol may also be used, together with Cho Ku Rei, on stone circles, ley lines, the earth and vortices. FROM USUI REIKI The Sei He Ki (Say-Hay-Key) is principally used for emotional healing, cleansing & purifying. It works on the emotional / mental body. Most physical symptoms have their root in emotional causes. Sei He Ki is symbolic of god & man connecting or coming together. It is of a higher frequency the Choku Rei, & has been translated as “harmony”. Those who can see energy describe it as a pulsing or throbbing light. Sei He Ki has its root in the subtle systems in the solar plexus & the heart centres (3rd & 4th chakras), & is the energy of the sun – warming & emotionally comforting. The deity giving the protection through this sign is the Japanese god Bishamon, who is one of the Shinto gods of good fortune. In Sanskrit this sign is known as ‘HRIH’. Sei He Ki is a softer version of it, which Usui Sensei would have known from its use in esoteric Buddhism. This sign is directly related to Buddha Amida Nyorai in Japan or Amitabha in Tibet. Sei He Ki has the effect of further refining the energies. Many Reiki Practitioners experience the energy that this sign creates – physical sensations of tingling & opening of the crown chakra. In Buddhist mystic teachings, this sensation is believed to be a sign that one’s next re-birth will be of a higher degree. It brings fortunate circumstances & the blessing of the Buddhas. This sign has the element of fire as its force, & reveals itself as a soft red light, although this sign can be visualized in any colour. Sei He Ki is one of the signs that should be used regularly as physical problems often cause emotional or mental problems too. The use of Sei He Ki will re-balance the energies between body & mind. If we think of 2 very strong emotions such as passion or fear they feel the same in the body although one is positive & the other negative. It is the mind that drives the emotion leading to the bodily sensation. If those sensations are blocked in specific places they can lead to physical illness. Sei He Ki heals more on the higher levels of consciousness & is thought to work more in the aura field than on the physical body. Sei He Ki can be used very effectively for mental / emotional illness (anxiety, stress, nervousness, fear, depression & can treat addictions) emotional stress release (past, present & future) improving memory recall to learn new things, study or revise for exams curing insomnia or recurring nightmares alleviating the traumatic experiences of transition when going through life changing events such as divorce, marriage, bereavement, moving home, menopause etc programming positive habits & responses Sei He Ki will help balance the emotional changes sometimes experienced following your attunement. Use it every day. According to Doi Sei Hei Ki relates to the moon. The moon causes constant changes in feelings & rhythm of the body. Being in sync with the moon's conscious energy brings emotional releases & stress reduction & helps people keep in high spirits. It improves human relationship, bad habits, resolving all sorts of disorders & karma / trauma with gentle energy of love & harmony. Examples feeling 'out of balance' - place your hands head & think of Sei He Ki headache - place your hands head & think of Sei He Ki protection - draw this symbol around yourself & saying something like ''I protect myself now with divine love & wisdom''. You can also use Choku Rei alternative protection - visualise an egg shaped energy field around you with the Sei He Ki moving around the surface of the egg, starting at your feet & working its way around the egg & upwards until it reaches the top of your head. You can also use Choku Rei memory - place your hands on your head & think of Sei He Ki. e.g. say 3 times ''I will remember where I placed my keys within one minute''. Then just relax & the answer will come to you tests or exams - draw the Sei He Ki over the paper to help your mind to attune to the correct answers. Remember to study beforehand! The Universe will not help you if you have been lazy. bored or tired in class - place your hands on your knees & think of the Sei He Ki as you listen to the tutor & it will help you to retain the information being given goals to achieve - repeat a positive phrase (affirmation) over again in your mind or write it on a piece of paper using Sei He Ki to empower your affirmations embedding them in the subconscious mind argument or disagreement - imagine Sei He Ki between you & the person you are having the argument with. It will filter the energy that passes between you creating harmony & peace & understanding Treatment Example have the client sit on a comfortable, upright chair decide with client on affirmations & positive results required place your hands on the shoulders & relax the client for 1 to 2 minutes draw Choku Rei above the head repeating the kotodama & affirmations in your mind. Repeat as many times as you feel is required replace hand on shoulders for up to 5 more minutes be aware of any images or information you receive place your hands on top of head for1 to 2 minutes draw Sei He Ki above the head repeating kotodama & affirmations in your mind. Repeat as many times as you feel is required use Choku Rei to end
