I didn’t always know about energy protection. For a long time, I thought the way I felt was just “normal.” 😓
Tired all the time, easily overwhelmed, strangely disconnected from myself by the end of the day.
One day, after attending my first Angel Workshop everything shifted. ✨
🌫️ The Subtle Drain I Couldn’t Explain
It was an ordinary morning—I remember holding a warm cup of coffee ☕, ready to start the day. But as soon as I stepped into my workplace, I felt it: a heavy cloud of tension.
Within minutes, my mood changed. My patience shrank. By lunchtime, I felt completely depleted.
Nothing bad had actually happened to me… yet somehow, I had lost my spark.
That was the day I asked myself the question that changed my life:
💭 “Am I carrying energy that isn’t mine?”
🔄 The Invisible Exchange
You see, we often think of “energy” as something abstract or mystical, but it’s really quite practical. Every interaction—every conversation, every environment—is an exchange. We give and receive energy constantly.
Some exchanges are uplifting: the laughter of a friend, the comfort of a loved one, the joy of nature. But other exchanges can drain us: a tense workplace, a heated argument, or even walking into a crowded room full of stress.
I began to realize that I was moving through life completely open—absorbing everything around me like a sponge.
No wonder I felt so tired.
🕊️ The Wake-Up Call
That evening, instead of distracting myself with TV or scrolling my phone, I sat in silence. I placed my hand on my heart, closed my eyes, and simply asked:
“What do I need?”
The answer came softly but clearly: “Protection.”
Not the kind of protection that walls you off from the world. But a kind of energetic boundary—a way of holding onto my own essence while still engaging with life fully.
🌟 My First Energy Shield
I had no idea what I was doing at first, so I followed what I'd learnt in the Angel Class.
I trusted the nudge. I imagined a soft golden light surrounding me like a gentle cocoon. I whispered out loud:
“I choose to keep only what nourishes me.”
It felt small. It felt almost silly. But something shifted. My chest felt lighter. My shoulders softened. And the next morning, when I walked into the same workplace, I noticed something incredible—while the tension was still there, it didn’t overwhelm me in the same way.
For the first time, I felt a glimpse of sovereignty over my own energy.
💡 Lessons I Learned
That small experiment became the doorway to a whole new way of living. Here’s what I discovered:
1. Energy leaks are real
Every time we say yes when we mean no, push ourselves when we’re already tired, or take on emotions that aren’t ours, we leak energy. Over time, this leads to exhaustion, disconnection, and even physical symptoms.
2. Protection doesn’t mean isolation
Many people think protecting their energy means shutting others out. In reality, it’s the opposite. When you are well-protected, you can engage more openly, because you’re not afraid of being drained.
3. Small rituals make a big difference
You don’t need hours of meditation or elaborate tools. A breath, a visualization, a hand on the heart—these small acts create powerful energetic boundaries.
🛡️ A Simple Practice: The Golden Light Shield
Here’s one of the very first practices I used, and it remains one of my favorites because it’s so simple and effective:
Sit comfortably. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths.
Visualize golden light. Imagine a warm, radiant light shining above you, flowing down around your body.
Create your shield. See this light forming a protective cocoon or bubble around you.
Set your intention. Whisper to yourself: “Only what nourishes me may enter. All else gently dissolves away.”
Notice the shift. Breathe into this protective space for a minute or two. When you open your eyes, carry this shield with you into your day.
This practice may sound simple, but don’t underestimate its power. With regular use, it begins to retrain your energy field to stay clear and resilient.
🌿 A New Way of Living
That one day—the day I realized I needed to protect my energy—wasn’t just a turning point. It was the beginning of reclaiming my life force.
Instead of ending each day depleted, I began to feel steady. Instead of being swayed by every emotion around me, I began to hold my center. And instead of dimming my light to match my environment, I started shining more brightly.
